CAST, the Center for Advocacy, Support and Transformation will hold its second annual North Fork Festival of Trees at Treiber Farms the weekend of Dec. 4.
A fun and family-friendly event, the festival showcases creativity and brings the community together in a spirit of holiday celebration and giving.
Join Amy of NYC Aromatica to learn and observe the distillation process used for obtaining essential oils and hydrosols! You’ll get to hear about the overall distillation process, growing and harvesting ginger, and ideas for how to incorporate hydrosols into personal care, cooking and cocktails. We will also have a pro bar tender swing by to give us some ideas for how to do the cocktail part!
Come on down to The Old Barn at Treiber Farms this Saturday at 7pm to enjoy the sounds of David Wax Museum of Charlottesville, VA. Put on your comfy autumn best, grab a chair and something to sip on. It is sure be a magical way to spend an early October evening on the North Fork.
Phoebe Tran of Bé Bếp Baby Kitchen will be cooking a Vietnamese community lunch highlighting ingredients from the farm, local catch from the surrounding Peconic Bay and Long Island Sound, and tropical fruits from her parent's garden in California.
Join Cara and I for an afternoon of walking through the farm, color & sculpture garden while picking dye flowers and learning about natural dyes. Cara will give an informational talk on dye plants and a small demonstration. There will be light snacks and color grown drinks provided.
FIELD DANCE at Treiber Farms presents an evening of experimental contemporary dance with new work by Leah Fourtier + Amelia Heintzelman and LOCULUS Collective with DJ Sets by Matt Krefting.

Food prepared by Cameron Trezoglou of 8 Hands Farm, farm house beer and wine crafted locally by Cantina Cantina, cocktails graciously handmade and donated by Matchbook Distilling Company of Greenport, and atmospheric tunes by our friend Matt Krefting. All ingredients are sourced locally, from Treiber Farms and beyond. Support working artists in enriching the cultural landscape of the North Fork. Performances to come in July and August.
Treiber Farms and VSOP Projects are pleased to present a multi-faceted presentation of food and farm related art at The Old Barn.
Cleverly named after the internationally renowned Art Basel Art Fair, Art Basil explores the fertile intersections of art and agriculture.
Food-themed artworks and ambitiously curated art projects will be exhibited beside artful arrangements of plants, produce, and farm goods produced on Treiber Farms’ 60 acre North Fork property.
Beautiful trees decorated by local artists, businesses and friends of CAST will be on display along with holiday music and refreshments for sale. People can bid on the decorated trees and other silent auction items at the event or online at 4CAST.givesmart.com to benefit CAST and our neighbors in need.
Haunted Francis Storybook Village is a new art installation and roadside attraction by John F. Malta presented by Cooler Ranch at Treiber Farms. The installation brings together a new series of large scale figurative woodcuts that are accompanied by a soundtrack recorded by the artist. Haunted Francis Storybook Village will be on view Friday-Sunday from 1 - 5 PM through October 31st, 2020.
A collection of modern dances set amongst the rows of brambles out in the field at Treiber Farms.
Courtenay Pollock, the tie-dye artists for the Grateful Dead, will exhibit his artwork at the VSOP Projects Greenport Gallery and Treiber Farms roadside barn on Aug. 7th to Aug. 9th from 10 to 6 p.m.
The exhibit is curated by Lucas Natali and entitled Sunshine Daydream. It will feature a selection of Pollock’s tie-dyed cotton mandalas and panels. Pollock has been creating tie-dye works of art since the late 60’s.
Alongside the exhibit at Treiber Farms Farm Stand, local vendors will offer an array of local goods.
Celebrate Scorpio season with Treiber Farms and friends!
We’ll have an opening ceremony from 6-7:30pm, so come early to set the vibe with an open group reiki session led by Chrysalis Holistic in our greenhouse. DJ sets will begin in the barn at 8pm with underground DJ Modrian, Yuki Morley of Stirling Sake, and a very special guest. It’ll all be lit by an epic light instillation by VSOP Projects, and we’ll have Madison Fender snapping photos. Chrysalis Holistic will also offer birth chart readings in the green house from 8-10pm.
Mattitaco will be serving the North Fork’s best tacos from 7-10pm, and Matchbook Distilling will offer a complimentary Scorpio spirit. Doug’s Car Service will be sponsoring rides to the farm (call Doug at 631-276-5268 to reserve) for those who chose to imbibe.

We’re honored to participate in this event as part of Brooklyn Falls for France, a cultural season organized by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy and FACE Foundation in partnership with Brooklyn venues like The Invisible Dog! From 12-9pm, we’ll be selling our best farm-fresh goods alongside L’ Imprimerie, a French bakery and cafe offering small-batch French pastries and breads, and Mushrooms NYC, which grows mushrooms right in Brooklyn.
Throughout the afternoon, there will also be talks and Q&As with authors Gérard Descrambre and Dominique Hutin, plus Sabine Buquet-Grenet, the publisher of iconic publishing company Les Editions de l’Epure. In the evening, enjoy wine and cheese workshops to close it all out!

Dustan Louque returns with Margaret Herbert to play the Old Barn for the third year in a row! This duo’s music is inspired by their hometown of New Orleans, with a bit of British Rock, New Wave, Americana, and Jamaican influence mixed in, and their shows are always a good time. Join us! Come dance the night away with Deltaphonic! This New Orleans rock n' roll band blends fingerpicking blues, funk, and roots rock into a surprisingly big sound. Their show at the Old Barn in 2018 was a highlight of the summer, and this one’s sure to turn into another memorable barn party. $10 donations recommended.

Join us for a Sunday morning stroll as Cook Space Culinary Director Chef Tom Coughlan leads a guided tour through the farm. You’ll learn to identify the edible ingredients growing wild along the coast, and how to use them to enhance your dishes, before sitting down to enjoy an al fresco picnic with your fellow foragers. Lover is the Brooklyn-based band of Jordan Robin and Byron Kalet. Their music is an exploration of poetic lyricism and a minimalist approach to songwriting that privileges a complexity of feeling over instrumental virtuosity.
We’ll have a special installation to set the vibe while they perform, plus artisanal hooch by our friends at Matchbook Distilling. Farm Glam looks are encouraged, as our late-night karaoke requests. BYOB, and $10 donations recommended.
